Features

Highly configurable GLP compliant Paper replacement application
Logbook allows you to re-create your paper forms and include the same signatory and authorisation fields with full audit trail.

Collects unstructured GLP and non-GLP data
The form design and whether to sign your form is up to you, any data points can be collected easily and quickly using the correct amount of traceability. Audit trailing and whether signatures are required are held against each page type.

Full GLP compliant audit trail
Any changes to a form once authorised are tracked, date and time stamped and logged against the user who changed it. Of course, only certain users can change the data once entered. Browse online forwards and backwards through the changes.

Electronic Signatures
Logbook fully supports a recognised electronic signature process, just click on your signatory field and supply your username and password. Many of these fields can be included on each form so you can have multiple authorisations without changing the logged in user.

Auto Login using Windows Username, ability to sign data without being logged in
It's possible to setup logbook to use your normal windows login, if you are logged in already, no need to login every time to sign your name.

Store any type of file (Excel, Word, pictures, video files etc.)
Logbook keeps all your relevant files together, if you need to associate a document, image or video with a logged item then it can be uploaded and accessible from the same page as your item detail. Storing files ensures that the documents are version controlled.

Store links to other Logbook pages, web pages, networked files.
Logbook is highly navigable, no need to keep re-browsing to find the relevant pages or even web links, just store the links to the pages/files. The difference between the stored links and stored files option is that changes to linked files are not audit trailed.

Comprehensive search utility tool
Finding your information is easy with Logbook, no need to pick particular areas to search or be limited to the fields you can search on, in Logbook, every field is searchable and you can search across all of your chapters to find the information you're looking for. Make as many passes as you like adding or removing data from your search results. Search criteria can be stored for re-use privately or publicly.

Electronic Archiving module
Logbook has a built in archiving module, allowing you to unburden your work areas once a project is complete.Data can be archived and retrieved from the backup database as many times as you want.

Define your own data collection forms and reports
There are no limitations to the structure of the data you collect in Logbook and forms can be designed to collect exactly the data you require. Couple this with a custom report design, with custom layout and content, Logbook starts to feel like it's a custom system just for your data.

Lists may be populated from external data sources to standardise contents e.g. department names
To aid in the centralisation and duplication of data and to reduce input errors, data may be read from external systems / databases to populate lists, ensuring data is accurate.

Context sensitive lists e.g. employees within department
In addition to lists read from external sources, these lists or a combination of custom lists and fixed lists may be coupled together to produce a relational list.

Fully integrated drag and drop forms designer
The forms designer is part of the Logbook system so once you have worked out what you want to collect and, the format of the data, you can create the form yourself.

Alert users via email or SMS text messaging
Alerts can be configured to be sent on completion of a page and/or when a value is out of range. A supervisor could be alerted by SMS as soon as a technician logs a problem in Logbook.

Publish information to Intranet or internet
A report can be published directly to a web server, allowing you to provide a wide reaching audience with a report quickly. As the reports are electronic the reports can also include links to files on the network or stored within Logbook.
