Documentation
Trimetra has many years experience assisting report writers and documentation teams
to produce high quality, regulatory standard documents efficiently and ‘publish
ready’. We have a great understanding of how these teams work and what to look for
and adjust to make sure a document is ready for submission or client review.
We have developed solutions for these problems, DocChecker will check a documents
content and, using defined parameters, highlight anything that fails the check,
and where possible provide automatic fixing of the issues. CompoundIt creates final
PDF documents with completely searchable content that can be produced from a mixture
of Word and PDF files.
When using document templates for creating your documents it is very easy to copy
incorrect styles, page sizing etc from other documents. With DocChecker, you can
create a profile for each of your document formats and DocChecker will analyse a
given document (or multiple documents) and highlight where the rules have been broken
and apply corrections where possible. A report of the findings is produced and may
be exported to CSV or HTML.

The benefits of using PDF for electronic submissions are clear. However, what was
initially a convenient format is now becoming the standard and with that, the expectations
for the submitted file are growing. If the last step of a submission was creating
a PDF file from a single Microsoft Word document then the submission would be in
a perfect format. Unfortunately this situation is rare, final reports often contain
scanned pages, 3rd party study reports, protocol documents all provided in Word
or PDF format.
